Evidence Based Public Health gives our employees and others in the community a common framework to discuss the current health of our community and how we can work together to make meaningful improvements.

The Evidence-Based Public Health (EBPH) training focuses on seven specific skills to improve public health practice. These skills act as a framework for the course, which also includes an Introduction. The EBPH training addresses many of the core competencies for public health professionals adopted by the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice.
This in-person, 2-day training covers core concepts like: defining public health issues, conducting community assessments, prioritizing options, and evaluating program and policy impacts. Read more about the topics.
Please ensure you will be able to attend for the full time before registering. Lunch is on your own. Participants will be given a break for lunch (there will be places to eat a bag lunch or nearby dining options).
Training will be from 8:00am-5:00pm both days.
