The Integrated Food Safety Centers of Excellence (CoEs) are pleased to announce an upcoming webinar in their series exploring the range of available CoE tools and services that may be useful for partners at all levels of foodborne outbreak response.
The webinar, entitled Whole Genome Sequencing Tools and Trainings, will be presented on March 28st at 2 pm ET. Dr. Martin Wiedmann from the New York CoE will discuss the range of trainings, services, and tools for implementing WGS that the CoEs can provide. Need an introduction to WGS? We have a training for that! Need some help figuring out how to use WGS results to help your discriminatory power in a cluster investigation? The CoEs have got you covered! Whatever your level of familiarity with WGS, if your jurisdiction uses the technology in the investigation of foodborne illness, we have resources to help.
The ongoing webinar series is scheduled for every other month (remaining webinars are scheduled for March and May 2018) and includes presentations on a variety of CoE resources and expertise that may be of assistance to state and local jurisdictions. In addition to showcasing some of the many resources the CoEs can provide, there will also be discussion of timely topics to help develop critical investigation skills. The previous webinars in the series may be found on the Colorado CoE’s YouTube channel:
